Looking for a unique view into rural Alaska lifestyle? The Nome & Teller Tour provides a glimpse into the community of Nome, as well as the rare opportunity to travel to the rural community of Teller – home to 250 individuals who maintain a close connection to the land. Visit with local residents, hear stories of growing up in rural Alaska, and the realities that impact day to day life.

Exploration Goals:

  • Take the road less traveled – rarely do visitors to Alaska get to visit communities like Teller!

  • Along the way, take in the stunning variety of landscape – endless tundra, alpine mountains, and more.

  • Meet a variety of characters – from spending the day with your local guide, to visiting the home of local residents in Teller.

PRICE INCLUDES:

Hotel  or Nome Visitor's Center pick-up/drop off. Your group will stop for lunch or snacks. (Price not included in tour)  

DON'T FORGET:

You will be climbing in and out of your Tour van so please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable footwear and plan on purchasing lunch or snacks during the day. 

 

OUR TIPS:

Dress warm and bring your camera! Musk-Ox are prevalent in the Nome area. Lucky guests might sight a bear, moose or both!
